The all new Nokia N86, is it that special?

March 6, 2009

The newly announced Nokia N85. I had a look at the official press release to give me some inspiration and I think that I have managed to pull out the important bits of information that people need to know. The first noticeable addition to the Nokia N86 is some new software called “OVI”. This allows you to share photos with your friends quickly and easily. We haven’t had a go on it yet, but the theory behind it is well meant enough. As with all the newer N-Series mobile phones you get the slide out keys (similar to the N85 again) that are dedicated fto gaming and camera use. Of course you won’t get all the bells and whistles that you would get with the Nokia N97, however this will run on the Symbian platform, allowing it to do much more. The Nokia N86 comes with an OLED display with scratch resistant glass. This is one aspect that is a really useful addition. I have had plenty of mobile phones that have had their screens ruined within weeks, as they sit in my pocket next to my keys. There is also GEO tagging and GPS functionality, as is standard on most Nokia mobile phones these days.

Below is a promotional video of the phone inaction and links to where you can find network specific deals for the N86. Enjoy
