One of the new nokia phones lined up to be released this year is the 5330. The phone, as the name suggests, is a music phone with advanced music playback capabilities. The phone looks good with a general rounded shape with a straight edged top. The phone will be released in 2 colors- a red and black, and a silver and blue one. The phone has special touch keys which allow the user to play, pause, forward and rewind easily. The standard numeric keypad slides out and can be operated using one hand. The phone comes with a large 2.4 inch TFT display showing up to 16 million colors. The screen has a QVGA 240 x 320 pixel resolution.
Even though the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic has a small onboard flash memory of 64 MB and RAM of 32 MB, this can be expanded.
The phone has fairly good connectivity options for a non Smartphone. These include GPRS, quad band GSM and WCDMA .WCDMA download speeds can go up to 384 kbps. The phone also has a Bluetooth chip allowing fast close range data transfer. The battery has a long life allowing a talk time to a maximum of 7 hours and a standby time of 389 hours. The maximum music playback time is 26 hours.
As the phone is primarily a music phone, its best feature is the enhanced S40 Music player. This player can read a wide array of audio and video formats. The user can also listen to FM radio.
The 5330 XpressMusic has a good 3.2 MP Autofocus camera with 4 x digital zoom and even an LED flash. Videos can also be recorded easily.
