However, Nokia being Nokia, this little thing (their first ever branching out into this pure computing realm) is an absolute gem. It’s not all that different from the ever growing number of other netbooks on the market, but then that’s always been Nokia’s forte: making things that are not really remarkable, but are downright solid.

Which is exactly the case with the Nokia 3G Booklet. The RAM, the processor, the screen size and type can all be flicked by with a bit of a yawn. But then a couple of things hit you, as you scroll through the likes of this official page. The WiFi AND 3G for example. 3G…. in a netbook! Nice. Then there’s the A-GPS… Then there’s the 12 hour battery life (as long as you don’t go crazy on the bongo viewing, mind)…

And then you get a look of the thing. And… it all starts to make sense. A lot of sense indeed. Because while there’s nothing truly spectacular about the Booklet, there’s more than enough being done at a very high standard, and just enough that’s truly unique, to make this a very, very viable option indeed.
